Baked Sweetcorn

This is the simplest yet the best recipe for sweetcorn. The fact that the baking happens with the covering husk on the cob ensures that no juices and sweetness is lost.


2 sweetcorn cobs whole with husk and silk

Butter/ BBQ sauce/ Tabasco optional


Put the 2 whole sweetcorn cobs without removing its cover into the microwave and set it on high for 6 minutes. If baking 1 sweetcorn reduce time to 5 minutes. After baking carefully remove from the microwave and allow it to cool for a minute. Remove husk and serve. If using butter or any of the sauces apply before serving.

Do not use convectional mode for microwaving. If you have an OTG you could get almost similar results by baking for ten minutes.
